Review | First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

If you have been keeping an eye on my skincare routine (or just read my skincare posts) you will know that a piece of the puzzle that has been missing. That missing piece has been a toner. The word toner scared me a little bit. It reminded me of my early delves in to skincare when they were seen as a bit or an extra step to take off any overlooked make up. They dried up my skin, was too harsh, they stung and basically were a pain to use.

Since then, toners have come a very long way, so I put my fears aside, did some research and decided to give the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. It was my first delve in to the brand and it did not disappoint.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads is an acid toner, which can sound scary, (my dad freaked out a little as I told him what they were) but it is one of the most gentle toners I have used. The pads are coated of Lactic and Glycolic acid. Both of these are AHA acids and are friendly to your skin. They aim to help change and improve the texture of your skin.

The 60 pads aim to brighten, exfoliate and tone your skin. I have been using this for the past three - four weeks and I have to say my skin feels smoother and less rough around the edges. The cucumber and liquorice help to create a balance that help tone and brighten the skin.

We have had some harsh winds over the past couple of weeks and this has led to dry skin. I focus this pad along my forehead, nose (which can have blackheads, get dirty) and my chin as they are the areas that feel the attacks the most. I instantly feel better, my skin feels smooths, preventing any flaky, patchy areas on my face.

If there is a space for a daily toner in your life but are haunted from toners of years passed, acid toners are the way to go and this one is a good place to start.
