Review | Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet

Lime Crime Velvetine liquid lipsticks have been around for years and made there way across the blogosphere but it is only recently that I gave in to the hype and delve my feet in to the brand.

I went for the shade Red Velvet which is probably the most true beautiful red I have come across. It is very red apple snow white shade of red so would look incredible and striking on those with pale skin but also stunning for those of you with similar skin tone to mine.

The formula is matte but it is not completely drying. It can cling to dry patches so if you have dry lips, I would say to prep them first with a lip exfoliant and lip balm (my rule of thumb for most lipsticks) but it really beautiful once applied.

Being matte, it is incredibly long lasting. This is definitely a lip product that will not budge once it applies. This is one liquid lipstick you will need a make up remover to take off.

It has a doe foot applicator which is small and soft on application but packs a lot of product. I usually have to wipe off some of the excess, that way it is easier and less messy when it comes to apply it. I found especially on my upper lips I had to be a bit careful due to having tiny lips but if you have bigger or fuller lips than mine it shouldn't be a problem.

For £13.00, It is definitely a welcomed addition to my lip collection and I really do love the finish and longevity the lime crime veletines give which means I don't mind spending a couple of minutes being a bit more careful when it comes to application.

Have any of you tried the lime crime lipsticks? I've seen swatches and I am very intrigued to give them a try.

Lots of love
