Hello my loves. I wanted to talk to you about my first ever delve in to the world of cleansing balms. A lot of hype has surrounded cleansing balms after the rise of the Emma Hardie Maringa cleansing balm and I can see why.
I have been using the Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm* as part of my skincare regime for a while and I have to say I am very impressed.
As it is a balm the texture is gentle and soft making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. There is no abrasive qualities in it whatsoever. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth - You can really tell the difference it makes to your skin.
The balm nourishes and hydrates the face giving it a light glow from within. It plumps your skin up and in time I found that my skin has looked less dull and feels a lot nicer since using it.
It also does a great job as a make up remover. I don't find I have to try too hard to ensure it takes everything off. I will say I use a eye make up remover first so I can't comment on how well it does in taking off eye make up.
What I love about this is the longevity of the product. This little tub will probably last me till my birthday in January and that is not a exaggeration. I only use less than a teaspoon amount each time to get the effects of the cleansing balm.
I love the packaging of Neal's Yard products. Midnight blue is such a beautiful colour which adds to its appeal.
Ingredients wise it is all organic and filled with friendly oils such as wild rose, beeswax, hemp seed oil and more. (They list them here if you are interested.)
The one thing I will say is smell the balm before you buy it. The rose scent is prominent. I found it doesn't linger once you wash it off so this doesn't phase me too much.
